Week 8 Class Reflection

Positive:
We finished and posted our buddy editing- it got much better.
A whole team ran movie making for the little kids.
We used the 'learning pit' strategies in our editing.
We found a way to make our school clean and tidy.
Our inquiry is ready for Market Day tonight.
The Chicken Team have been very self managing on their projects.
Some of our gardens go judged.
We handed in AG projects for marking.
Lots of swimming.

Negative:
The heat pump didn't work on a hot day.
I nearly gave up on a hard piece of learning.
Allana had to growl about noise levels.
Allana had to practise having a 2cm voice for her class next year.
In Monday Hui, we were not a good role model.
I was doing negative self talk.

Next week:
Bring plastic bags.
Tidy up the class.
Clean out our draws.
Be VERY adaptable in The Big Space.
Return mascots and books from home.
Bring our togs.
Keep working and learning.
Be a good role model.
Be tolerant - walk away and stay calm.

Ella's Holiday - Buddy Writing

Rarotonga

Zoom went the plane as we sped into action. We had to take a plane to Auckland then to Rarotonga. The flight to Raro had t.v. screens but the flight to Auckland did not.

Sunday:

Today I went snorkeling then my cousins came over, we played; Rugby, hide and go seek, nerf howler ller and tag. It was fun Emmerson and louie stayed the night.

Monday:

Today I went to the hotel that my cousins  staying in. We went to the pool and the beach, it was fun! Eve went to kids club. Tuesday Today I went snorkeling  with my. Me and my mum went our fare and saw cool fish.

Wednesday:

Today we all had a relaxing day at home and went to the store with John to buy stuff for our tea. We got a treat too!

Thursday:

Today I took the bus to see my cousins at the resort and I stayed the night there. We went to kids club. I love that there was a big tramp and we got to go down to the beach.

Friday:

Tonight we had a party for my mum’s birthday. Emy and Louie stayed the night at our house, in our little holiday home.

Saturday:

Today we all went to the resort to do some more swimming, kayaking and snorkeling. After that we went to diner for my Aunty and Uncles 10th wedding anniversary.

Sunday:

Today we had to say goodbye to my cousins, then we moved to a different home.

Monday :

Today we went snorkeling at fruits of rarotonga which is the best place in raro to snorkel. We got a ice cream on the way home.

Tuesday: 

I woke up and boom went my legs we went to a pool then we got ready and left on a plane back to my home. I got to help out on the plane and after that they gave me extra treats.

Tuesday:

But we arrived home on a Wednesday because we crossed the date-line.  I loved going to Rarotonga because I got to see lots of cool fish and I was seeing my cousins who live on the other side of the world.

What we started with:

Me and my mum went our fare and saw cool fish. Wednesday Today we all had a relaxing day at home and went to the stor with John. Thursday Today I toke the bus to see my cazins at the resort and I stayed the night ther. We went to kids club ther. Friday Tonight we had a party for my mums burthday. Emy and Louie stayed the night at our house. Saturday Today we all wet to the resort to do some more swimming, kayaking and snokling. After that we went to diner for my Aunty and Uncles 10th wedding anniversary. Sunday Today we had to say goodbye to my cazins, then we moved to a difrient home. We left on a Tuesday but we arrived home on a Wednesady beacause we crossed the date line. Summary I loved going to Rarotonga because I got to see lots of cool fish and I seeing my cazins who live on the other side of the world.

Once there was a dwarf who smelt funny like bananas and this is the funny thing was that his face looked as though it was a peach also he was very rich and he was 1000 yeas old. One day he was in his cave Oh sorry I forgot to mention that he lived in a cave.

One day he was in his cave and there was someone that knocked on the door it must of been his mother because they both had small tiny tiny heads she  ask if he could just have a drink of water but the dwarf said NO! go away and he knocked on the door again and asked if the dwarf new where he could get some water and the dwarf said no go way and stay away.

Then the dwarf went out to his local grocery store and everyone seemed to be very mean because everyone used be very nice but today they were not and then someone said to him why can't you just be nice then that night and then he said sorry the person he was mean to and then the next day everyone was nice to him.

I look down to sea from the wharf, I see two dogs yapping and playing in the water leaping in the salty sea.

The eyes of the big dog I just can't stop watching them. His eyes glow as blue as the dreamy Milky Way.

On the other hand the little dog yapping,hazel like wheat and its sort charcoal black fur, thickened by the light blue sandy water. The little dogs whiskery face sticking up like hay. Both of the dogs playing around.

I'm walking back to the wharf. I'm packing up my things to go home. I look at the dogs one more time then I walk home.

On a sunny summer day on a cliff.

My hands were grasping onto an imaginary boogie board as I jumped off the smooth cliff into the 50 kilometre deep water. I could hear my shorts flapping in the wind like clothes on the washing line and I could see the water rippling in front of me.

“What  am I doing?” I screamed.  “Am I going to die?“

Oh no, I thought as I watched my best pair of blue and yellow jandals sit on the cliff. I wanted to get them back, but I couldn’t because I was already halfway through the air.

Will I ever see my blue and yellow beach jandals again?

Sour strips are stuck to my teeth like rainbow peanut butter.

They are stripy like a colourful zebra in the circus.

They are the colours of leaves in Autumn.

I believe that a cat is a better pet than a dog because…

To begin with, your on your sofa sipping hot milo and dreaming about a fluffy cat, your phone rings and someone says that your dog is at there house you spill your milo down your shirt in shock. You have to go and pick up your dog in the pouring rain.

Imagine walking down the in your best jeans, you have to walk your dog because they were yapping wildly for a walk and it starts raining. what would you do then if your dog got into a fight with another dog.

So just remember to get a cat instead of a dog!

To begin with dogs fight just think if you were going for a walk and your dog saw a different dog and then it started fighting with the different dog what would you do then.

Also cats don’t scare you. Would you like a pet that is a fluffy friend of a grubby friend.

The Dogs are playing in the Beach. Wait a minute are they playing or are they “tackling” each other? I don't know. How about we just say they are or is the big dog “running” over the small Dog?

The big Dog is looking in the distance. At who knows what. Their fur is “DRENCHED”. The water around them is “SPLASHING” like glass breaking on the Lino. And their fur is  

The soaking dogs are playing and splashing around everywhere and there fur is like “spikes” on there big or small bodies.

Nona and her dog Tilly  came on saturday that’s the good news. She left on sunday though that’s the bad news. Grrr growled Tilly(Nona’s dog) when Willie (our cat) came by her.

It would be so much better at school with my friends.

On Monday I went to the flying burrito brothers. We met our dad there so we went in and I saw my dad. We ordered our food, our drink, our dessert and milkshakes.

First we had our main food. I had Nachos and my drink was lemonade. We ate our food ( it had a lot of tomato) and I got a lot of chips.

Then we got some desert. My desert was churros and ice cream with raspberry sauce, chocolate sauce and caramel sauce. It was filling because I had two churros and ice cream. Churros are a Mexican donut and they are very long and tasty.

Then we got our milkshakes the flavours were Oreo milkshake and snickers milkshake. We had two sips of each and I got the Oreo milkshake first it tasted like chocolate. Then I got the snickers milkshake it was really salty so I didn't have two sips on the snickers milkshake.

On Sunday I made an awesome cake! It was three layers 

high! I made it because I like cake and I’ve never made a three layer high cake. I also wanted the cake to eat my class...I mean the class to eat my epic cake.

I learnt how to crack eggs properly, how to cut the cake into shapes like circles, how to sprinkle the chocolate hail and 100s and 1000s. I also learnt that it was harder to ice cake that had been cut. The problems I had were running out of cocoa for the icing and the icing was hard to spread because it was too thick (but it actually tasted  incredibly nice).

My favourite part was testing to see if the cake was ready because it wasn’t ready and the knife came out gooey and yummy.

The ingredients in my cake were: self raising flour

cocoa

butter

vanilla essence sugar

eggs

water.

Some people may not be able to eat my cake (which is a bit annoying for them) so I thought I could give them a candy cane instead.

Rocky road mountain

One evening a kid called Charlotte decided to go  For a walk on Rocky Road Mountain

Charlotte told her mum and off she went. Charlotte started climbing when she heard a noise coming from behind her Charlotte turned around and a zombie was there.

She got so frightened that she started to run up the mountain when she finally gets to the top three is a cliff. Her mother was there to. "What happened to you mum" Charlotte said.

"It doesn't matter now. I'll discuss it with you later. Right now we've got to get out of here".

"I agree" said Charlotte, so they started to defeat the zombie together. And the zombie went to jail for the rest  of the year.

The zombie was tall and green like a leaf, his eyes were deep

black like a door knob of a haunted house.

Ponies are my FAVOURITE animal. I like them because you can have fun by riding on them. But the thing that I do not really like about ponies is that you have to pick up their poo.


I have always wished to have a pony! Unfortunately my mum is allergic to them also my dad absolutely HATES ponies! I do not get how someone could hate such a pretty creature.

 
 Anyway no one can stop me from dreaming about ponies! Which I am very happy about! Do you like ponies? I hope you do! I feel sorry for you if you are allergic to ponies.

Unicorn stories - Buddy edit

On one practical weekend  Kayla was woken up by a monstrous hammering she got up and walked outside into her glossy morning paddock. She found a man trying to open a broken down shed “what are you doing” demanded Kayla.

“I am trying to break this shed’ explained  the man. Kayla was completely bored so she went back through here glossy morning paddock and into here house. Later that day she looked out here window surprised  but mostly scared to see a unicorn falling to the ground.

Kayla ran outside and and fell to the ground beside the unicorn . Are you ok Kayla said to the unicorn fine actually said the unicorn. Jeepers said Kayla she was beside herself that the unicorn could talk. The unicorn asked Kayla if she wanted to learn to ride. Yes actually said Kayla she struggled to get onto the unicorn but she did she grabbed the reins and pulled and at the same time she held on.

Kayla loved riding the unicorn so she asked her dad if she was allowed a horse he said if you can ride Kayla lead him outside and showed him the unicorn but she wasn't there!!! Thanks to unicorn physiology for me using their photo.

Sticking at doing our job all day - cooking sausages!

In a small town named Chewy, a little girl named Poppy sat at the table chewing on some chewing gum that she picked from the supermarket. “Yum what a delicious piece of chewing gum.”

Then suddenly a big cheeseburger gobbled her up! “Ohhhhh!” As she fell down the stomach of the cheese burger.

Then suddenly BUMP!!! She landed on a soft petal of a lily pad. “Where am I?”  She said as she fell into some chilly water.

You're in Lily pad lake said a voice that was to be heard by a oldley she turned around and a turtle stood behind Poppy.

”Why thank you sir.”

Poppy swam to the shore of the lake. The lake was big it was not just any big size it was as big as the ocean but it was full of Lilly pads. “”What are you doing here SNAPPED!!! a crocodile. Poppy jumped screamed like this Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!  And ran away. I want to go back home but how can I? “Aha”! Said poppy I need to tickell the ground then he will laugh and spit me out and that's what happened!
