8 + 4 = 12

70 + 12 = 82

Caterpillars - Kelsey and Taylor

Caterpillars are squishy like playdough.
They are stripy like a bumble bee.Their feet are like glue.
He is stripy the caterpillar.
They can eat a whole leaf  in 24 hours that is a hole day.

Caterpillar writing - Max D and William

A monarch caterpillar turns into a butterfly and it eats swan plants also known as milk weed. We have some caterpillars in our classroom. Monarch butterflies fly around swan plants. We are going to plant some in our school garden.

First a monarch butterfly is an egg then it turns into a monarch caterpillar which is yellow and black. Then it turns into a cocoon then it hatches into a monarch butterfly.

Extreme Reading - Sjaak

Check out Sjaak reading in the field with some cows!

Caterpillars - Nate and Blake

Monarch caterpillars are stripy like a bumble bee. They are starving eating machines that munch through the green swan plant. They nearly eat a whole plant each day.

If it is cold the caterpillar slows down and curls up but when it is warm they eat heaps.
Hanging under the leaf, they use suction feet to stop from falling off.

When he turns into a butterfly, the caterpillar will be able to flay his wings 50 times a minute.
We want to build a supermarket for caterpillars in our school so they never get hungry.

Filling buckets is when you be nice to someone and they get a drip in their bucket.
When their bucket is full they are happy. When their bucket is empty,  they are sad.
